THE INCARNATION OF CHRIST IN YOU

SEEING LIGHT TODAY

THETRUTH33

What the Bible is thought to mean depends on the Lens we used to read it. Muffled christ’s and bent gospels come from a warped lens.  The frame of a false christ and a bent gospel produces a distorted Bible, a crippled you and an inconsequential church. But with Christ our life the Church is the resurrected power of Jesus.
SEEING LIGHT
I have written before of the ‘Jesus Lens’.* Jesus and His Undoing of Adam is the frame by which we discover the meaning of the New Testament and the Bible. Christ and the New Testament interpret the Old Testament. Truth is known for what it is in the person of Christ – which is why a false christ is a disaster for a church.
SEPARATION FINISHED
The ‘undoing of Adam’ results in learning how to see. It is also the healing of our separation from God that Adam instigated. The separation that followed the Big Lie was over when Jesus cried out, ‘It is finished!’
REALITY IS CHRIST
You create your own reality.
A separation mindset is not undone for us personally should we continue to live in the law - in the separation figured in the compartmentalised  courtyard, and the holy and most holy places. The curtain was ripped for a reason. Don’t live in the delusion of separation when Christ is our union with God.
The curtain between the two rooms was ripped because the cross had undone the separation between God and man begun by Adam. The at-one-ment was accomplished. You need to live in the accomplishment of a completed atonement to be fully alive. Life to the full is lived in the completed atonement and the incarnation of the trinity in you.
SEPARATION UNDONE
Satan extends the lie by spreading the illusion that we remain separated from God. It’s the extension of the original ploy. Separation is not done in our minds if we continue to live in Adam/Moses when Christ has become the joiner of humanity to God. To live in the first Adam is to live a false gospel and a false christ. Jesus Christ has made for us, a oneness with God similar to the trinitarian oneness that is God. Possessing the mind of Christ is believing what Christ believes about His Father and about you. You and Father are one.
YOU AND FATHER MADE ONE
Our healing and restoration to oneness with God was accomplished by applying the oneness that is the trinity to our separated state in the person of Jesus. In Jesus we are made one substance with God, made one with ourselves and positioned in God’s oneness so that it is ours. This in order that we may grow in oneness with each other. This is the message of John 17.
THE PLAN
Baxster Kruger explains it well.
It was not the fall of adam, therefore, that set god's agenda; it was the decision to share the great dance with us through Jesus. Adam's plunge certainly threatened God's dreams for us, but that threat had been anticipated and already strategically overcome in the predestination of the incarnation. Jesus Christ did not become human to fix the fall; he became human to accomplish the eternal purpose of our adoption, and in order to bring our adoption to pass, the fall had to be called to a halt and undone ... Jesus is not a footnote to adam and his fall; the fall, and indeed creation itself, is a footnote to the purpose of God in Jesus Christ.”
Our life in God is not about sinning and not sinning. Our life is about life to the full in union with God.
SEEING RIGHT
Once we get the picture that we belong, that we have been incarnated with God, we see the Bible in a new light. By reading the New Testament in the light of the atonement/incarnation we get into the spirit and truth of what our salvation and our life in God is really about. We are able to shed bent gospels and get a grip on the true nature of our salvation for the first time. It’s about being sons and daughter of God by virtue of the fact that we are one being with God, yet fully ourselves in the Person of Jesus.
THE PATTERN
Torrance writes in The Mediation of Christ, “
Once we have got hold of the basic clue or gained some anticipatory insight into the pattern of things, we set about re-examining and reinterpreting all the data, putting them together under the guidance of the basic insight we have discovered until the full coherent pattern comes clearly to view.” To be in Christ is to see as Jesus sees. To be in the law is to be contained in the delusion of the fall, which is most pleasing to the spirit of anti-christ who lives to see Christ neutralised.
You are the real you in Christ. Never someone else and never an abstract effect of the law imposed on your being. Christ is either our life or we are scarcely able to see and are not spiritually alive.
* Our mindset conditions our reading of scripture. If we are living in new covenant oneness with Christ we will construe the parable of the Sower as a religious life attempted in the rocks and poor soil of the old covenant. If we think Jesus came to maintain the law we will think that the parable is about leaving off our sins and addictions. This view is evidence that we have not understood what was accomplished for us by the cross.
